PANIC ATTACK SYMPTOMS

In a world that transforms itself almost daily, dealing with life in perpetual motion can be quite baffling and strenuous. For those regularly suffering from panic attacks, this makes the situation all the more difficult. In such circumstances, everyday matters such as doing your job or even managing your personal life can become problematic.

An anxiety or panic attack occurs when one experiences a sensation of extreme fear which paralyzes one's faculties. You will only be able to deal with it if you can familiarize yourself with the symptoms and come to terms with them. In other words the key is to tackle the problem head on and taking control rather than letting it control you.

Experiencing recurring panic attacks twice or more a month can indicate that you are suffering from an anxiety disorder. Some of the symptoms you will have to contend with, during an anxiety attack include:

Extreme panic or a feeling of terror. This is the most difficult aspect of the attack that the victim will have to overcome. One might feel a sense of impending doom, like an inevitable and terrible catastrophe is about to occur which nothing can forestall. Or have an acute sense of anxiety about unknowingly committing an embarrassing act in front of others. Victims of panic attacks often fear a complete loss of control over their lives.

Trembling

Palpitations of the heart

Dizziness

Excessive sweating

Pain in your chest

Feeling sick in your stomach or feeling nauseous

Diarrhea

The experience of a panic attack differs from person to person. You may not be able to tell when they are about to occur and they can catch you swiftly, totally unawares. They might occur rarely or you might suffer attacks repetitively throughout the course of a day.

It is also difficult to pinpoint the exact causes of anxiety attacks. However, it has generally been seen that for those who are prone to such a condition, being in an uncomfortable or uncontrollable environment can trigger an attack. Medications, alcoholism as well as abuse of narcotic substances can lead to panic attacks occurring as well. Fear of the attack itself or of being in a personally compromising or embarrassing position can also trigger one off. It is this overwhelming sense of fear that dominates the lives of those who have anxiety disorders. And without any help or treatment of any sort people with suffering from anxiety attack symptoms find it almost impossible to continue leading a normal life.

If these symptoms sound familiar to you, if you have seen someone you know suffering from such problems, there are several ways to deal with and even partially cure panic attack symptoms which include cognitive behavioral therapy and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

However, not all techniques of dealing with panic attacks suit everyone, this is why its best to  talk to a doctor immediately to ascertain whether you or someone you know might be suffering from anxiety disorders and what would be the best way of going about finding the best remedy.
